More than motivation

Some times you would need more love than motivation

LAst Day at Wipro -17th Aug 2007

I had quit my work at Wipro on the 17th of Aug 2007, almost 2 years of work ....

My life at Wipro had been more of fun and living in Chennai has been one of the best and the worst experiences in my life. I had been spending my life at a flat in Adayar and learnt few of the important lessons in life.

“Better by far you should forget and smile than you should remember and be sad”(Rossetti 1830-1894)

I chose to forget and smile .... [:)]

Steps forward

Another very good friend of mine, Malathi, had left from our house in Chennai to pursue her higher studies at IIT, Chennai for her MBA, yesterday. I am really glad for her…and miss her...

Train Delay

Last weekend I had left to my place and had booked in RaptiSagar Train 5211, a week before, since my brother was planning to come home for the weekend from Mumbai after 5 months I think... He had initially planned to come during this week mid and leave by the weekend (8th July) and he had changed his plan all of a sudden due to some meetings...

I had to book the tickets in a hurry and since train had its departure from Chennai at 00:05 hrs, I thought it would be tolerable for me to wait for 3 hrs in the station and was at the station at 21:20 hrs, I took a novel (Are you afraid of dark, Sydney’) ... and to my shock I came to know that the train since its coming from North usually reaches Chennai 4 -5 hrs late.... Gaaaawwwd... can’t get worse...

Finally the train came at 04:38 am… literally depressing!! I did go back home and return around 3:30 am, Thanks to my friend…

During the journey, I did see few ladies begging and one of whom had leprosy (It looked so like that). She had her whole lip missing, I gave some money and after she left I could not stop myself from thinking about the sight. I was almost depressed I think… I am sure I would do something to help them in future.. I promise..

Reached home at 13:30 hrs... Finally... But the journey was not all that bad (traveling for the first time alone is a day train) … and the climate was a lil short of being perfect…

The woman in your life..

Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are;

Who is earning almost as much as you do;

One, who has dreams and aspirations just as you have because she is as
human as you are;
One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life just like you or your
Sister haven't, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system that
gives no special concession to girls for their culinary achievements

One, who has lived and loved her parents & brothers & sisters, almost as
much as you do for 20-25 years of her life;

One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that, her home, people who
love her, to adopt your home, your family, your ways and even your family
name

One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef from day #1, while you
sleep oblivious to her predicament in her new circumstances, environment
and that kitchen

One, who is expected to make the tea, first thing in the morning and cook
food at the end of the day, even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more,
and yet never ever expected to complain; to be a servant, a cook, a mother,
a wife, even if she doesn't want to; and is learning just like you are as
to what you want from her; and is clumsy and sloppy at times and knows that
you won't like it if she is too demanding, or if she learns faster than
you;

One, who has her own set of friends, and that includes boys and even men at
her workplace too, those, who she knows from school days and yet is willing
to put all that on the back-burners to avoid your irrational jealousy,
unnecessary competition and your inherent insecurities;
Yes, she can drink and dance just as well as you can, but won't, simply
because you won't like it, even though you say otherwise

One, who can be late from work once in a while when deadlines, just like
yours, are to be met;

One, who is doing her level best and wants to make this most important
relationship in her entire life a grand success, if you just help her some
and trust her;

One, who just wants one thing from you, as you are the only one she knows
in your entire house - your unstinted support, your sensitivities and most
importantly - your understanding, or love, if you may call it.

But not many guys understand this...

Well... Give it a thought now!!

Brutal Killing

I do regret deeply the two incidents of children getting mauled in Bangalore. These were two unfortunate incidents of children being mauled by stray dogs happened in semi-rural Bangalore, where the CNVR program (Catch Neuter Vaccinate Release/ABC) has NOT been implemented.

Obviously, the media of this city went to town over this and pointed fingers at the local authorities. The solution suggested by the Bangalore authorities was to KILL EVERY STRAY DOG (numbering in hundreds of thousands) is the most primitive and barbaric one can imagine, and only points to their incompetence and indifference to the real problem at hand. Thousands of animals have been subjected to death by strangulation, crushing their skulls with boulders after bleach thrown in the eyes to make the animal blind and docile.

I really don’t understand how people who are supposed to have the 6th sense behave in such viciousness. The rational solution, which any person with an iota of sense and sensitivity will see, is not by eliminating every dog but by scientifically controlling the population to keep out the real strays that have not been neutered and vaccinated. We should appeal to the CMC's and put pressure on them to immediately stop catching dogs if they are collared or have been Vaccinated and Neutered. (Identified By Clipped Ear). All un-neutered dogs should be caught and sent consequently for the CVNR program.

This barbaric act should definitely be punished. Dogs are mans’ best friend and they don’t deserve this treatment. We should learn to love them and share this place with them. Just by walking erect, eating with hands and doing programming one does not become human. If the sight of little animals being butchered does not move you, then you do not deserve the tag anyway.

'V' for Vendetta- Captivating lines of the movie

I recently happen to see this movie , and here are the lines for all...

"VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V ."
